Tender Napalm

Me ‘n’ my friend Caroline went to see this on the occasion of its world premiere. I was hoping to post a bit about it before now but the good news is that it’s still on until 14 May so you’ve still got time to rush along there and buy one of the ridiculously cheap tickets.

I can’t remember the last time I saw such a powerful new piece of theatre. It was so good that I forgive them the truly dreadful seating at Southwark Playhouse.

It’s a taut and imaginative look at the relationship of a young man and woman who dream and love and fall out with great intensity. No-one is ordinary, says this play: each of us is unique in ways that no-one else can ever truly guess.

Be warned – the programme is in the script, so if you don’t buy one you miss out on all the details of who did what with whom and why. There are signed copies available.
